We have been operating in the field of Lost-Wax Castings (also called Micro Castings or Investment Casting) since 1992. This production technology makes it possible to create extremely complex castings in Steel, Bronze and Aluminum that would otherwise not be possible with other systems (excluding 3D printing and machining). The rigidity and precision of the ceramic shell, also allow to obtain very tight dimensional tolerances (see below table) and raw surfaces with low roughness, significantly reducing machining time or in some situations, allowing the casting to be used even in its raw cast state.
Our technical department is prepared to collaborate with the client’s designer to optimize the transformation of parts made by other methods (carpentry, machining from solid, etc…) into lost-wax castings.

Ultimately, it is worth referring to Steel Lost-Wax Casting in the following 5 cases:
- When the designer needs to make particularly complex castings.
- When dimensional tolerances can be obtained directly on the micro-cast casting (see Micro-cast Tolerances table above).
- When it is necessary to obtain in a single piece, weld-brazed, welded or nailed parts.
- When the castings must be made of alloys that are particularly resistant to wear or high temperatures (such as “Stellites” or “Nickel-Cobalt” based alloys) in order to avoid the need to do subsequent machining which are going to be very complex and difficult due to the material characteristics.
- When it is necessary to reduce production costs by cutting down machining time.
