Thanks to efficient cutting equipment, present in all our locations, we are able to meet every need for cutting bars, slabs and blocks, both for small and medium and large series. This service is applicable to all material we trade.

This service is offered only on Cast Iron (all alloys) and Aluminium bars (only alloys 2011; 2007 and 7075)

On the above mentioned materials, we can perform deep drilling machining, with the following characteristics:

• Maximum outer diameter: 430mm.
• Maximum internal diameter: 200mm.
• Maximum drilling length: 3’100mm.

The main advantages offered with the deep drilling service are:

• Production of tubes of length up to 3’100mm. from solid bars.
• Internal diameter obtained by mechanical processing and therefore concentric with respect to the external diameter.

We can perform roughing and squaring of cast iron bars, with the following characteristics:

• Maximum milling length: 3300 mm.
• Maximum width/milling height: 300 mm
• Maximum dimensional tolerance achievable on the thickness of the bar: +/- 0.05 mm.
• Roughness: according to customer specifications, to be defined before the order.

The main advantages offered with the service of milling and roughing metals are:

• roughing bars carried out directly by the supplier at low cost, as performed on whole bars with specific equipment for such processing.
• Longer service life of the Customer’s tools, as the external crust more “abrasive” is previously removed with dedicated equipment.
• Greater ease and precision in the phase of placing pieces, as they are supplied with the sides already perfectly orthogonal with each other.
• Elimination of any defects potentially present in the “crust” of the cast iron.
• Reception of bars or cut pieces, ready for final processing.
• Reduction of scrap as the length of the milled bars can reach up to 3300 mm. (standard length 3000 -0/+200mm.).
• Less weight transported, resulting in savings on transport costs.

This service consists in the rapid removal of the working over metal. This service is valid only on round bars made of cast iron, We can offer this service with the following features:

• Maximum peelable section: 60mm.
• Maximum length of peelable bar: 3’100mm.
• Standard dimensional tolerance on diameter: h.9
• Maximum diameter tolerance: h.11
• Standard roughness offered: Rz.16

The main advantages offered with the peeling service of cast iron round bars are:

• Rapid and economical removal of the working excess metal.
• Possibility of “gripping” the peeled bars, with automatic pliers for machining in lathes with bar passage.
• Cost reduction in medium and large series turning operations.

In order to obtain the best possible ratio between quality, functionality and cost reduction of parts achievable by lost wax casting, in all steel, bronze and aluminium alloys (alloy A.356 only), our technical department is able to offer advice in the design of new details and in the transformation from cast to lost wax carpentry of parts already in production.

The company offers technical and commercial consultancy service for the production of Lamellar Cast Iron, Spheroidal Cast Iron and Special Cast Iron, making use of the collaboration of Italian foundries of primary importance (see the “Model Castings” section for more details).
