Aluminium in Extruded or Drawn Bars and Sheets

Aluminium in Bars is produced by extrusion, i.e., by compression of a billet (aluminium in bars produced by vertical continuous casting) heated to a softened state, and extruded through a steel die that gives the metal the desired shape.

After extrusion, if required, the resulting extruded aluminium bar can be subjected to a drawing process. This ‘cold-drawing’ process consists of passing the bar through a steel die of calibrated dimensions, so as to give the drawn aluminium section a profile with very narrow dimensional tolerances (see related tables in the technical catalogue).

The production of aluminium sheets and plates is carried out by a rolling process of cast plates in vertical continuous casting. Rolling consists of pulling the material through two rollers with parallel and counter-rotating axes; the space between the two rollers (canal) determines the thickness of the aluminium sheet or plate.

  • • Aluminium ‘99.5’ Alloy 1050 available in tread plates sizes 1000×2000 + 1250×2500 + 1500×3000 with thicknesses from 2+M to 5+M mm – Physical state 0
  • • Aluminium ‘Avional 100’ Alloy 2017 available in rolled sheets with thicknesses from 10 to 120 mm, cut to the size required by the customer. – Physical state T 4.
  • Aluminium ‘11S’ Alloy 2011, 2007 and 2030 available in round, square, rectangular bars. Extruded and drawn with length mt.3 – Physical state T3 – T 8 – T 6
  • Aluminium ‘Anticorodal 100’ Alloy 6082 available in round, square, rectangular, extruded bars with lengths of 3 and 6 metres – Physical state T6
  • Rolled sheets and plates in thicknesses from 4 to 300 mm, cut to the size required by the customer – Physical state T 651
  • Aluminium ‘Anticorodal 63’ Alloy 6060 available in round, square, rectangular bars, tubes, angles, channels and special profiles in general, standard length 6 metres. – Physical state T 5 – T 6
  • Aluminium ‘Peraluman’ Alloy 5083 available in rolled sheets with thicknesses from 8 to 200 mm. Physical state H 111.
  • Peraluman’ aluminium in cast blocks 600 x 1500 x 3,000mm thick. Physical state F; cut to the size requested by the customer.
